Sergio Busquets is a soccer player from Spain, currently playing for FC Barcelona. His natural position is DM (defensive midfielder). He is the son of a famous goalkeeper Carles Busquets.

Sergio joined FC Barcelona in 2003. and has played there ever since. First he played in the FC Barcelona C squad, and then in 2006. he was promoted in the FC Barcelona B squad, under Pep Guardiola.

In 2008. Pep Guardilo became the coach of FC Barcelona, and he took Sergio Busquets along with him to the A team. Sergio made his debut in Primera division in September 2008, playing against Racing. His first appearance in the Champions League was in October 2008 when FC Barcelona was playing against Basel (Busquets scored the fifth goal).

Internationally, he is currently playing for Spain’s under-21 team
